Stroke and daytime dozing
People who doze at daytime are at a higher risk for having a stroke. Seniors who have difficulty staying awake expose themselves to higher risk for heart attacks and other cardiovascular diseases. The best way to counter this is to get yourself preoccupied with things you love to do. Be happy gardening or writing or making research. There are communities who need volunteers, apply and get involved. Help yourself stay awake by helping people. The challenge is right there. Try to help them solve their domestic or personal problems by sharing your story and giving your opinions. If you need to stay at home there are communities that need people to make rosaries. There are companies who needs people to stuff envelope. The idea is to get your mind, your eyes and your hands preoccupied. Never let your self get idle. If you have lots of activites during the day then you might be able to get a good night's sleep after all.
